Abstract

We report the case of a 27-year-old woman with a history of sickle cell disease whose vision improved from 20 of 200 to 20 of 20 over 3 months after receiving intra-arterial tissue plasminogen activator for acute monocular painless vision loss secondary to central retinal artery occlusion presenting as paracentral acute middle maculopathy.
