EDITORIAL Philip W. Ralls, MD ay I first wish all of you a happy holiday season. It is always amazing how quickly M the year goes by. I would be seriously remiss should I not thank our superb, intelligent, charming, and extremely accommodating Managing Editor, Karen Harmon. She must be talented, long-suffering, and forgivingVafter all, she has to work with me! Without Karen, I would quite literally be unable to edit the journal. I am quite pleased with the practical and valuable articles we have in the December 2011 issue of Ultrasound Quarterly. In this issue, as always, Endo Yoshimi, from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, has carefully abstracted the recent diagnostic ultrasound literature. Endo’s re- views are always insightful, useful, and a focal point of each issue. I am very grateful for the excellent work he does for the Ultrasound Quarterly. From the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee, Ultrasound Quarterly Editorial Board member Harris L. Cohen and coworkers Rakhee Sansgiri, Giancarlo Mari, and Chandrea Smothers provide us with an excellent and comprehensive review article ‘‘Topics in Perinatal Genitourinary System: Ultrasound Evaluation.’’ This work is accom- panied by many useful and informative images.
