EDITORIAL Philip W. Ralls, MD e have a good assemblage of articles for the March 2010 issue of the Ultrasound W Quarterly. Without our hard-working authors the Ultrasound Quarterly would not exist. Thank you. We are getting a bit lean in promised manuscripts, so contact me if you have a project or idea you think might make a good article. Assistant Editor Carrie Sofka from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York has abstracted the recent diagnostic ultrasound literature. Carrie_s reviews are always a bright focal point of each issue. Kim Nylund and associates from the University of Bergen in Norway give us a European perspective on ultrasound of inflammatory bowel disease. Sonography is used much more frequently to evaluate the GI tract in Europe than in North America. David Shin, Brooke Jeffrey, and Terry Desser, from Stanford University, give us some helpful hints regarding liver sonography. Norman Loberant, Shweta Bhatt, Gregory MacLennan, and Vikram S. Dogra, from the University of Rochester Medical Center present a fine pictorial essay about the striated ultrasound appearance of the testis. Let me again express my gratitude to the American Roentgen Ray Society for allowing us to reprint articles form the course syllabus from their 2009 Course in Ultrasound. In this issue, Rafay Ahmed and Levon Nazarian, from the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, provide us with an excellent article titled Overview of Musculoskeletal Sonography. Last but not least Roberto Stramare and colleagues from the Department of Medical Diagnostic Sciences and Special Therapies, University of Padova, Padua, Italy present their experience with ultrasound contrast agents in the diagnosis of superficial lymph nodes. My thanks to all who have contributed to and have committed to contributing to Ultrasound Quarterly. An editor can only publish what is submitted. Please let me know if you have ideas that you feel may be suitable for Ultrasound Quarterly. Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
