EDITORIAL Philip W. Ralls, MD his is the last issue for 2009 of Ultrasound Quarterly. I am very grateful for the efforts of Tour hardworking authors, editors, and reviewers. Without them, Ultrasound Quarterly would not exist. Assistant Editor Carrie Sofka from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York has carefully abstracted the recent diagnostic ultrasound literature. Very special thanks go to Carrie. Carrie’s reviews are always a highlight of each issue. In this issue, we have a very good case report on contrast-enhanced detection and guided management from Drs Sanchez and Barr. Drs Hwang, Niermann, Lyshchik, and Fleischer from Vanderbilt contribute an elegant article on Sonographic Assessment of Tumor Response. From the University of Washington, Drs Vaidya and Dighe present an interesting article on Uterine Fibroid Embolization Imaging, an Interventionalist’s Perspective. Dr Wu from The Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College, Haikou, China presents an interesting perspective on something we do not see much in North AmericaV Ascaris lumbricoides in the Gastrointestinal and Biliary Tracts. I would like to receive more interesting articles such as this. Last but not least, we have a fantastic article from Dr Winter from the University of Utah on Scrotal Masses. This is the first of four articles that will be reprinted with the gracious permission of the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) from the ARRS 2009 Categorical Course SyllabusVPractical Sonography for the Radiologist. It is very generous of ARRS to do this for us. My special thanks to Susan Brown Cappitelli, MBA, CAE, Executive Director, ARRS, Assistant Executive Director, ACR; and Shannon Hamilton, Executive Assistant of the American Roentgen Ray Society, both of whom have been very kind and helpful in making this happen. CME for these articles will be available from the American Roentgen Ray Society; see the details associated with the article. My thanks to all who have contributed to and committed to contributing to Ultrasound Quarterly. A final plea is for more articles. We want to keep up the high-quality information that appears in Ultrasound Quarterly. But, frankly, submissions have been scant recently. Please help usVsubmit new manuscripts and, for those of you who have previously agreed to submit papers, please get them to me. Please let me know if you have ideas that you feel may be suitable for Ultrasound Quarterly. Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
