Young Psychiatrists' forum: Introduction

Young Psychiatrists' forum: Introduction The primary goal of the Young Psychiatrists' Forum is to share ideas related to training, education and learning. In every issue of Asia‐Pacific Psychiatry , you will find our Forum consisting of original works submitted by young psychiatrists and psychiatry trainees. The goal of this section is to share experiences within the field of psychiatry with our fellow colleagues. We hope to receive original papers on topics such as educational issues in psychotherapy training, professionalism and leadership, or unique and innovative new programs. Works can be research‐based, such as “What factors promote wellness during training?” or “What attributes make a good psychiatrist?” or based on experience in practice. Interesting case studies with teaching points will be included as experiential pieces. We hope that our Forum will evolve within the region and become a medium for collaborative learning. In the present issue of Asia‐Pacific Psychiatry , we have included three papers. One paper outlines the Japanese Young Psychiatrists Organization, a non‐profit organization that promotes fellowship and connects young psychiatrists across Japan. Another piece highlights a unique leadership training program for young psychiatrists. We also hope you will find to be of interest a unique case report of Ganser syndrome diagnosed and treated by a young psychiatrist in Thailand. This section will focus on education and training, and the experience of working in psychiatry, as well as ideas for working with partners, including service users and their families. Unfortunately, we cannot accept general scientific papers focusing on topics, such as schizophrenia or genetics for publication in the Young Psychiatrists' Forum. Please consider contributing to Asia‐Pacific Psychiatry as you proceed through your professional development and help us share ideas and foster fellowship around the world!
