May 7–9, 2009 Chicago Hilton and Towers Chicago, IL USA The International Meeting for Autism Research will be held May 7–9, 2009 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers in downtown Chicago, USA. The photograph on the back cover of the journal is of the Art Institute of Chicago, which is a few blocks from the meeting site on Michigan Avenue. Grant Park is across the street, site of both protests of the 1968 Democratic National Convention and site of the election night rally of President‐Elect Obama. However, we'll have many activities to keep you occupied indoors, including keynote addresses by Mark Bear, Ph.D., Catherine Lord, Ph.D., and Steve Scherer, Ph.D., as well as a series of invited educational symposia, oral presentations and many posters. In addition, as you will see in the call for abstracts, we will have a new technology & autism poster/demo session that will focus on innovative uses of technology in autism research and therapy. Up‐to‐date information on the conference is available at www.insar‐autism.org , including the following call for abstracts with a link to the abstract submission site.
