By now you will have had a flavour of the new Educational Clinical Case Series. We hope to sustain this series for many years to complement the excellent original papers we now have the privilege to publish. As an academic journal representing science and clinical practice, we have a duty to not only publish research outputs but also to provide education as part of continued professional development. The articles will appear in each issue of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology and together will form a comprehensive overview of important topics within the spectrum of allergic disease in childhood. Indeed, we hope to eventually combine the series in a separate publication. Each article has been commissioned from an international panel of recognized experts in their field. Rather than attempting exhaustive literature reviews, these articles use case reports to illustrate the range of presentations that are seen in allergy clinics. Discussion focuses on the clinical presentation and practical management strategies as well as underlying mechanisms. Each article concludes with four or five multiple‐choice questions to help cement the learning process. Answers will appear in the subsequent issue. While the series is aimed primarily at trainees in the specialty of allergology, there are enough expert insights and clinical pearls to make it of value to the entire readership of the journal. Furthermore, the topics covered will be of interest and relevance to primary care physicians and general paediatricians. We hope you will enjoy and value the presentations.
