Dr. Yoshinobu Nayatani The International Colour Association (A IC) is pleased to announce that the 1993 Dea ne B. Judd-A IC Medal has been awarded to Dr. Yoshinobu Nayatani of the Osaka Electro-Co mmunication University in recognition of his work on colorimetry a nd color vision, including man y contributions to models of chromatic adaptation and color appearance. The Award was established in 1975 to recognize work of international importance in the fi elds of colour perception, colour measurement, or colou r technology and takes the form ofa gold medal presented biennially. Previo us recipients have been Doroth y Nickerson, David Wright, Gunter Wyszecki , Manfred Richter, Leo Hurvich and Dorothea Jameson, Robert Hunt, Tarow Indow, and Hans Vos and Pieter Walraven. The 1993 Award was presented on 16 June 1993 at the AIC Meeting, Colour '93, in Budapest, Hungary.
