In an area of work which has been defined neither as an art nor a science, and which currently devalues objective truths or dichotomous distinctions (the language used in the definition of the word ethics is 'good' vs. 'bad', 'right' vs 'wrong '), the task is to find a balanced position which ensures enough safety, while enabling room for unique development. Indeed, some agreed that family therapists may face more ethical conflicts than most other therapists in that they can be accused of being agents of parents against children, children against parents or of one parent against another.
