INTRODUCTIONAllergic rhinitis (AR) is a common problem in pediatric population that can deeply affect quality of life (QoL). The modified Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma (m‐ARIA) classification distinguishes AR severity into three categories according to impairment of QoL parameters: mild, moderate, and severe.Little is known about the impact of nasal obstructive disorders (NOD) on the QoL of children with AR. Rhinoconjunctivitis QoL questionnaires allow clinicians to identify the main problems and may help to discover other issues not verbalized by the patient. Studies by Juniper et al. showed that adolescents with AR experience similar problems to adults with AR, having more difficulty with concentration, particularly with schoolwork. Conversely, younger children are more troubled by practical problems such as carrying tissues or taking medication.We have recently described the association of NOD with refractory AR in children and adolescents with persistent allergic rhinitis (PER). Others have reported that nasal obstruction is associated with poor QoL in children. However, to our knowledge no study has addressed the repercussion(s) of NOD on QoL in children and adolescents with AR.
