Latest developments in research, standardization and practice Editorial Latest developments in research, standardization and practice A workshop on composite structures, TUD, Delft, 20 October 2016, in honour of Prof. Riccardo Zandonini, chairman of TC11 ECCS it is of paramount importance to renew leadership in its own organization, including the activities of TCs. One chairperson who has recognized these needs and ne- cessities, and has provided opportunities and support for younger colleagues through the chairing of TCs, is the chairman of TC 11, Prof. Riccardo Zandonini of Trento University, has had a major impact on the activities of TC11, being the chairman for the past seven years. In this period, the committee has grown from 15 full and two cor- responding members to 25 full and 12 corresponding members. The growth has broadened TC11 activity in the three major research areas shown below, as well as geo- Jean-François Demonceau Graziano Leoni graphically, with members now active worldwide.
