International Conference: Use of Color: From Fundamentals to Applications for the 21st Century the coffee break, Yasuhiko Kawahito, a student of Kyoto Institute of Technology presented the paper entitled, “Attempt of Numerical Expression of Color Emotion.” He derived twenty-four color emotion formulae based on the Munsell and CIELAB color system. He mentioned that the color emotion map could be diagrammed in terms of twelve color emotion axes including two-color emotion. Duangrat Ngampadipatpong of Chulalongkorn University presented the next paper entitled, “Thai Color Emotion Scales.” She introduced her experiment establishing color emotion scale of Thai observers, which related to its lightness and chroma, and derived the opponent word pairs to the color emotion equation based on CIELAB color space. Jakkai Siributr of Thammasat University presented the last paper of the morning session. His paper was entitled, “Expression of Color Textile Art.” He showed a variety of his textile art. The afternoon session was started by Piyachart Trisansri of Royal Forest Department with her paper entitled “Taxonomic Study of Dye Plants for Natural Fiber in Thailand.” She recorded 142 species from 28 provinces in Thailand. Nipaporn Soontornpitakkul of Chulalongkorn University presented the next paper entitled, “Surface Coating Materials for Conservation of Antique Teak.” She compared the quantity used and the stability of surface http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Color Research & Application Wiley
