See http://www.chempluschem.org under EarlyView COVER PICTURE The cover picture shows the photocatalytic effect of Ag2O/ZnO composites for the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange. As seen from the picture, rhombic sheets consist of highly crystalline ZnO particles decorated with Ag2O nanoparticles. Owing to the unique rhombic structure of ZnO and the formation of type-II pân heterojunctions between the two oxides, the composites exhibit excellent photocatalytic activity for the decomposition of pollutants under ultraviolet and visiblelight irradiation as described in the Full Paper by P. Yang et al. on page 1681. COVER PROFILE âThe research interests of our group mainly concentrate on the fabrication of nanomaterials and their composites, especially of luminescent nanocrystals, magnetic nanocrystals, noble metal nanocrystals, as well as their applications in biological and medical science.â This and more about the story behind the cover in the Cover Profile and about the research itself on page 1681.
