In the intervening years, several more publications have followed, the latest being an edited volume by Paley and Brooke and a revised version of the influential Code of Practice. The title of the Paley and Brooke publication indicates that it is targeted at staff and managers – not an easy task given that these are different audiences with different concerns. It consists of seven chapters covering topics such as risk assessment, the implementation of the Code of Practice and the use of physical interventions in adult learning disability services.
