Excellence in Energy

Excellence in Energy The year 2017 has been a tremendous one for Advanced Energy Materials, so I would like to take this opportunity to highlight a few key developments of the past months and some future activities that will present 2018 as another year of excellent energy research. Recently, we published four special issues highlighting Carbon Nanoforms for Photovoltaics, Hybrid Solar Technologies, Renewable Energy Conversion and Storage, and Next‐generation Batteries. In the coming year we will be working even harder to bring you more major contributions to advancing our transition to a sustainable (energy) future. For me personally the most exciting development in 2017 has been to accept the position of Editor‐in‐Chief of this journal. Dr. Carolina Novo da Silva and Dr. Guangchen Xu will support the journal in their roles as Deputy Editors alongside Dr. Anna Troeger, who has recently been promoted to this position in recognition of her ongoing valuable contributions to the journal. Our additions to the editorial team reflect the strong development of Advanced Energy Materials over the past years (Impact Factor 16.72) and the research communities’ growing interest in it. With the strength and commitment of this team, we are well‐equipped to strengthen the unique position of Advanced http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Advanced Energy Materials Wiley
