Electrophoretic and Serological Studies of the Seed Proteins of some Members of the Subfamily Papilionoideae

Electrophoretic and Serological Studies of the Seed Proteins of some Members of the Subfamily... Electrophoretic and Immunochemical relationships amongst storage proteins of some tribes of subfamily Papilionoideae have been investigated on the basis of their legumins and vicilins subunit compositions. SDS‐PAGE, immunodiffusion, and “Western” blotting technique are the technique which were used in this study. Electrophoretically, it has been found that each tribe has a distinctive electrophoretic pattern. Immunochemically, legumin and vicilin‐like proteins were detected for the first time in some members of Phasealeoe, Glycineae, Cajaneae, and Diocleae. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science Wiley
