Diurnal variations in plant water relations were studied in a field grown groundnut crop in water stressed and non stressed plants with and without potassium nutrition. The results indicated the possibility of mitigating the ill effects of water stress by means of potassium spray thus reducing the water demand especially during the critical phase of the crop.
