Cover Picture: ZnO Rhombic Sheets of Highly Crystalline Particles and Their Composite with Ag2O toward Efficient Photocatalysis (ChemPlusChem 12/2014)

Cover Picture: ZnO Rhombic Sheets of Highly Crystalline Particles and Their Composite with Ag2O... The cover picture shows the photocatalytic effect of Ag2O/ZnO composites for the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange. As seen from the picture, rhombic sheets consist of highly crystalline ZnO particles decorated with Ag2O nanoparticles. Owing to the unique rhombic structure of ZnO and the formation of type‐II p–n heterojunctions between the two oxides, the composites exhibit excellent photocatalytic activity for the decomposition of pollutants under ultraviolet and visible‐light irradiation as described in the Full Paper by P. Yang et al. on page 1681. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png ChemPlusChem Wiley
