Topics covered will include: coastal zone management; nature conservation; the Habitats and Species Directive; pollution including the Donaldson Inquiry; the Urban Waste Water Directive; waste minimization; archaeology, sand and gravel extraction; 1994 attitudes survey; fisheries. All papers will identify how they could contribute to coastal management. This may be related to specific coastal issues such as public health, aquaculture and fisheries, tourism, conservation, coastal erosion, The congress is being hosted by the Australian Society for Fish Biology. The congress will discuss issues that will shape the future for the sustainable development of the world’s fisheries resource.
