Amplatz guiding catheters are particularly suited for performing PICA of lesions involving the left circumflex coronary artery. Caution should be exercised during their removal: Complete heart block may result by an inadvertent withdrawal of these guiding catheters in presence of preexisting bundle branch blocks.
