SMITH The simplest method of analysing this pedigree is to calculate the probability ( P ) of its occurrence for various values ( p ) of the recombination fraction on the assumption of sex-linked recessive inheritance. (See Haldane & Smith (1947) for a similar analysis for haemophilia and colour blindness.)
