Each author emphasizes different aspects (according to the state of limnological research in their country) such as aquatic habitats (Ghana, Bangladesh), water pollution (Ghana, Tunisia, Papua New Guinea), physical, chemical and hydrobiological analysis (Ghana, Tunisia, Papua New Guinea), conservation (Ghana, Tunisia, Pakistan), hydrography (Tunisia, Malaysia, Pakistan) or faunal data (Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea).
