David Epston and Phyllis Brock published their article "A Strategic Approach to an Extreme reeding Problem" in 1984 (Australian]. of Family Therapy, 5,2: 111-6). In this article they describe their therapy with a young family in which the only child suffered severe chronic feeding difficulties. At eighteen months of age, after frequent hospitalizations and numerous intrusive medical procedures, he weighed fifteen pounds. This life-threatening disorder was resolved with four session of family work. The audio tape (and its transcipt) is thus a part of an articleltape "package" so that tape and article are complementary, each adding to the value of the other.
