Abstract
Using continuous solvent extraction for the isolation of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) from large water samples, these substances have been determined in water on the Swedish west coast north of Göteborg and in Göta river water. The concentration ranged from 1 ng/l in Göteborg harbour to less than 0.1 ng/l in a fjord 80 km north of Göteborg.
