He works on characterization of CRT, LCD displays. He is also interested in device-independent color reproduction. BAEK, JUNG–KI is a graduate student in the same department. She is working on the color calibration technique of CRT display for her Master of Science. ´ JESUS ZOIDO received a Ph.D. in physics from the University Complutense of Madrid in 1997. He is an assistant professor in the Optics Department at this university. He has been working in different areas including optical fibers, LEDs, applied colorimetry, statistics information theory, and Bose– Einstein condensation. Since the lecture of his thesis, the focus of his research is the development of a color difference metric based on a theoretical statistical model. JOHN H.
