About the authors

About the authors JUAN SERRA received a Ph.D. degree in architecture with European mention from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2010. As a member of the Color Group of the University Institute of Heritage Restoration leaded by Professor Ángela García Codoñer, he is full‐time teacher at the Department of Architectural Graphic Expression in the UPV since 2006. He has been working on color research projects for the restoration of ancient city centers and monuments. His research interests include color in the composition of modern and contemporary architecture. JAMES L. GARDNER received a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Adelaide in 1971 after 25 years at the CSIRO National Measurement Laboratory, he retired as leader of the Optical Radiometry Group in 2001. Continuing there (now NMI Australia) as a guest worker and at other national metrology institutes in the United States, Korea, United Kingdom, and China, interests have been in the uncertainty of spectral measurements for applications in optical radiometry and color. Now retired, he remains as editor for commission internationale de l'eclairage (CIE) Division 2 (Physical Measurement of Light and Radiation).
