About the authors he is Vice President of DyStar L. P. He is well known to the readers of this journal as a frequent contributor, as well as past editor in chief and member of the editorial board. He is author of Color, Essence and Logic; Computer Colorant Formulation; Color: An Introduction to Practice and Principles; and coeditor of Color Technology in the Textile Industry. Mr. Kuehni is active in many professional organizations including American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, the Inter-Society Color Council, where he has served on the board of directors, and several CIE technical committees. MING–CHUEN CHUANG is a professor and Chairman of the Institute of Applied Arts, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, where he is in charge of the graduate program of industrial design. His educational background includes a diploma in the Department of Industrial Design at Mingchi Institute of Technology, Taiwan; and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Tufts University, where he majored in ergonomics for consumer products. He has taught courses in color theory in the Department of Industrial Design at Mingchi Institute of Technology for several years.
