Editor’s Note

Editor’s Note T is with great sadness that I announce the death of Darryl J. Gless on June 10, 2014. A distinguished Renaissance scholar and celebrated teacher, Professor Gless was an invaluable member of our editorial board, one whose clarity of vision and good sense assisted this editor on many occasions. Professor Gless was a powerful supporter of the humanities. His books on Spenser and Shakespeare in particular were rich, innovative, and rigorous. It hardly bears stating that we will miss his brilliance, dedication, and humaneness. i © 2015 Studies in Philology, Incorporated http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Studies in Philology University of North Carolina Press
