peter guardino is Provost Professor at Indiana University. He has published more than twenty articles and three books, mostly on nineteenth-century Mexico and the Mexican-American War. vanya eftimova bellinger is assistant professor of strategy at Air University. She is the author of Marie von Clausewitz: The Woman Behind the Making of On War (2015). jonathan daniel wells is professor of history at the University of Michigan and the author most recently of The Kidnapping Club: Wall Street, Slavery, and Resistance on the Eve of the Civil War (2020) and Blind No More: African American Resistance, Free- Soil Politics, and the Coming of the Civil War (2019). cameron blevins is associate professor in the history department at the University of Colorado Denver and the author of Paper Trails: The US Post and the Making of the American West (2021). christy hyman is a PhD candidate in the program of geography at the University of Nebraska Lincoln and instructor of history at North Carolina A&T State University.
