Since artist-photographer and have shown noth- that time he has had a varied experience graduated from Berea College and received the M.A. in literature from the University of Iowa and the M.S. in library science from the University of Kentucky. He has of Southern Appalachia along with his "Man On Troublesome", a study of the fiction techniques and attitudes of one of the most accomplished writers of fiction in the region -- James Still.
