Editors’ Note

Editors’ Note This latest issue of Asian Perspectives highlights the ever-growing diversity of research across the Asian and Pacifi c regions. In addition to the journal’s usual content, this issue includes a special theme section about archaeology in Central Asia, including articles on Russia, Mongolia, and the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China, organized by guest editor Annie Chan. We want to acknowledge the hard work Dr. Chan put into making this section coherent and drawing together high-quality scholarship that transcends the sometimes linguistically isolated scholarly communities who work on this complex region. We continue to welcome new manuscripts of original research and we encourage authors to contact the editors in advance about any questions of suitability. While we aim to accommodate archaeology research as broadly defi ned, we often need to make diffi cult decisions about the geographic scope and thematic range that will resonate with the readership. As was mentioned in the previous issue of this journal, Asian Perspectives will soon transition to a new editorial team that will guide the journal into the next years.
