The University of Delaware has also undertaken several technology initiatives to provide access to various services for students and faculty members through a mobile app. This interview provides insights from this experience. JGITM: Can you please give us an overview ofthe Mobile Apps development project at the University ofDelaware (UD)? Costrini: This mobile apps project started on the request of University of Delaware's Vice President of Information Technologies, Mr. Karl Jacobson. He saw the expanding growth of mobile platform particularly the iPhone a few years ago and he felt it worthwhile for UD to get into it to try to be one of the first one into the arena. As web development group's manger, I was asked to lead this project. We did some research and we found "iMobileU" mobile web framework.
