CONFERENCE REPORT The Eighth Asia Pacific Tourism Association Annual Conference “Tourism Development in the Asia Pacific Region: Worldwide Views and Multidimensional Perspectives” Dalian, China, July 10-13, 2002 Jerome F. Agrusa The Asia Pacific Tourism Association’s (APTA) Eighth Annual Conference was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dalian, China during July 10-13, 2002. As the Asian tourism phenomenon continues to grow, it is fortunate that APTA was able to have this year’s conference in the largest country in Asia, China. The title of this year’s conference was “Tourism Development in the Asia Pacific Region: Worldwide Views Jerome F.
