Introduction to knowledge organization
Abstract
300 E-RESOURCES REVIEWS The last chapter of this book is about how Eugene Garfield’s idea of the Science Citation Index (SCI) revolutionized the organization and discovery of scientific information through indexing and linking. SCI and Journal Impact Factor (JIF) are still the main pillars of indi- cating the weight and importance of scientific information published which as a result exhibits the quality of the published work. Driving Science Information Discovery in the Digital Age provides an overview of the current scientific publishing trends as well as the practical concepts and tools that librarians can employ right away. This book is highly recommended. H. Chris Chang Trinity International University, Deerfield, IL hcchang@tiu.edu # 2022 The Author(s).
