CONFERENCE REPORTS Harrogate Tourism Conference “Tourism and Literature: Travel, Myth and Imagination” Harrogate, England, July 22-26, 2004 Jon Griffin Donlon Jocelyn Hazelwood Donlon More than two dozen countries were represented during the four-day Harrogate Tourism Conference, July 22-26, 2004, organized by The Center for Tourism and Social Change (CTCC) at England’s Sheffield Hallam University. The conference titled “Tourism and Literature: Travel, Myth and Imagination” was held in the charming Old Swan Ho- tel–a historically fitting venue famous for its role in the suspenseful dis- appearance of Agatha Christie 75 years ago.
