Potentially, in the future, even devices implanted in the body will add to this massive volume of data. The constant new developments in hardware have enabled the storage, processing, and analysis of these immense volumes of data. The importance of this topic is manifested in the article “Big Data Analytics: A Field of Opportunities for Information Systems and Technology Researchers” published in the previous issue of this journal.
