2002 Annual ISTTE Conference “Succeeding Together CONFERENCE REPORT 2002 Annual ISTTE Conference “Succeeding Together: Recruit, Articulate, Educate” Salt Lake City, Utah, October 10-12, 2002 Heidi H. Sung The 2002 annual International Society of Travel and Tourism Educa- tors (ISTTE) conference was hosted in Salt Lake City, Utah, October 10-12, 2002 and turned to become a successful one. This bears some particular meaning to the Society after the 2001 annual conference in the previous year (scheduled during October 25-27 in Houston, Texas) had to be cancelled due to the tragic event on 9/11. The conference kicked off on Thursday afternoon with a general session presented by Larry and Marianne Couslon from the Hogan Foundation, and a visit to their 45-foot long Mobile Classroom to get an orientation on how to maximize its utility for future campus visits across the country.
