Wavelet-transform analysis and filtering of signals produced by an ultrasonic laser interferometer

Wavelet-transform analysis and filtering of signals produced by an ultrasonic laser interferometer Abstract Methods based on the discrete wavelet transform are used to study ultrasonic pulses in aluminum single crystals. Longitudinal elastic waves propagating in the [111] crystallographic direction were generated at 5 MHz. Methods for filtering images of an acoustic field on the basis of wavelet transform are developed. Recommendations on the choice of filtering parameters are given. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Acoustical Physics Springer Journals

Abstract

Abstract Methods based on the discrete wavelet transform are used to study ultrasonic pulses in aluminum single crystals. Longitudinal elastic waves propagating in the [111] crystallographic direction were generated at 5 MHz. Methods for filtering images of an acoustic field on the basis of wavelet transform are developed. Recommendations on the choice of filtering parameters are given.
