A new method is proposed for thermal processing of power-station coal in a reactor with multidirectional blast. Equipment for use in this method is developed. Partial gasification of power-station coal in a process with a reverse blast is studied. On the basis of the results, the operational parameters for a system with multidirectional blast are determined. The processes in different zones of the reactor are compared, along with the properties of the coke obtained and the characteristics of the combustible gas. The temperature profiles of the dense bed over the system height are presented.
