AAM Order No. EWM230, US$30[AAM Member]/US$35[Non-member] The Wired Museum is simply the best book about digital information technology and museums I have read for a very long time. We have all read on the back of dust jackets publisher’s claim that a particular book should be read by ‘registrars, educators, administrators, computer support staff, curators, senior management, and anyone else working with information technology.’ This book lives up to those claims. If this book had been written 10 years ago it would have been filled with excru- ciatingly detailed papers on relational database design, hardware-level networking, implementation strategies for information systems, and technical computer jargon without end. What I was very pleased to find in these essays is an excellent (and relatively jargon free) overview
