The Effect of Micro Damage on Time-Dependent Crack Growth in a Composite Solid Propellant

The Effect of Micro Damage on Time-Dependent Crack Growth in a Composite Solid Propellant Abstract The damage characteristics near the crack tip and crack growth behaviorin a centrally cracked sheet specimen of a solid propellant wereinvestigated. The specimen was subjected to a constant crosshead speed of0.508 mm/min at room temperature. The effects of local damage andfracture process near the crack tip on crack growth behavior wereinvestigated and results are discussed. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Mechanics of Time-Dependent Materials Springer Journals

Abstract

Abstract The damage characteristics near the crack tip and crack growth behaviorin a centrally cracked sheet specimen of a solid propellant wereinvestigated. The specimen was subjected to a constant crosshead speed of0.508 mm/min at room temperature. The effects of local damage andfracture process near the crack tip on crack growth behavior wereinvestigated and results are discussed.
