Surgical controversies in esophageal cancer

Surgical controversies in esophageal cancer Several controversies concerning the optimal surgical management of esophageal cancer exist. The extent of resection, the surgical approach, the optimal lymph node dissection, and the volume–outcome relationship potentially influence the overall outcome of patients undergoing a surgical treatment for esophageal cancer. Especially in the context of perioperative, randomized studies in esophageal cancer, it appears indispensable to understand the broad range of quality indicators of esophageal cancer surgery. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png memo - Magazine of European Medical Oncology Springer Journals

Abstract

Several controversies concerning the optimal surgical management of esophageal cancer exist.
