Surface morphology and thermal property of polypeptide precipitates deposited from methanol

Surface morphology and thermal property of polypeptide precipitates deposited from methanol Abstract The surface morphology and the thermal property of poly(γ-benzyl L-glutamate) (PBLG) homopolymer and poly(γ-benzyl L-glutamate)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (PBLG-block-PEG) copolymer precipitates deposited from methanol were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to confirm the components of the polypeptide film. The efffects of PBLG molecular weights and PEG contents on the surface morphology and the thermal properties of the polypeptide precipitates were studied. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Fibers and Polymers Springer Journals

Abstract

Abstract The surface morphology and the thermal property of poly(γ-benzyl L-glutamate) (PBLG) homopolymer and poly(γ-benzyl L-glutamate)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (PBLG-block-PEG) copolymer precipitates deposited from methanol were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to confirm the components of the polypeptide film. The efffects of PBLG molecular weights and PEG contents on the surface morphology and the thermal properties of the polypeptide precipitates were studied.
