Abstract The stability of the solution to the problem of restoring the volume size distribution of nanoparticles for theoretical small-angle scattering data sets calculated within six different models has been investigated. The influence of the data noise level on the deviation of the found solution from the specified theoretical model is analyzed. Recommendations on the optimal search scheme of size distributions for complex polydisperse systems are given.
