Rodin: Sculptures, Drawings, Photographs.ODA Laser Edition, 1994 64 PHYLIS FLOYD From the opening image the paths through this virtual museum are clearly indicated along the lower frame: first, an exit (Q), and three courses through the collection: VISIT, WORKS or BOOK. Each segment includes key navigational paths enabling one to jump smoothly between modalities. The exit can only be reached through the VISIT, however. The last tag, “ABOUT” opens five text pages of credits on the multimedia production, and identifies contributing authors such as Jacques Villain, Director of the Musée Rodin, Alain Beausire, Curator of the Archives, and Hélène Pinet, Curator of the Photographic Collection. (Names in this section appeared hyperlinked, but the pointed finger icon did not lead to further information.) In addition, a small booklet accompanies the disk and explicates the navigational scheme through the three major modalities, even though the process is quite intuitive. In “VISIT” one can sit back and passively follow the narrator on an approxi- mately 35 minute guided audio and video tour featuring Rodin’s major works and the gardens of the Hotel Biron, today the home of the Musée Rodin in Paris.
