Alternaria alternata as a Causal Organism A. altemata is very common in Western Australia and is often associated with decaying plant matter. Due to this of Ink Spot Disease of Anigozanthos spp. in widespread source of infection, the fungus may prove to be Western Australia dlfticult to control. Preliminary work on fungicidal control indicates that the fungicide mancozeb is useful in reducing K. Sivasithamparam, the disease in the field.
