I find this puzzling given that the working committee Dr Tan led in reviewing and updating the ECEG did not consult patients and the public. It was not as if time constraints was a factor—the review took nearly 6 years. During that period, there were multiple rounds of consultations but this was confined to the medical fraternity. At no point during the review, did the working committee conduct any focus group with patients or circulate the draft 2016 ECEG for public feedback despite the ECEG’s objective http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Asian Bioethics Review Springer Journals
