This volume presents the contributions of the Tenth Conference of the School of Theoretical Biology held in Solignac, France on May 28-30 1990. A series of articles concern experimental and theoretical aspects of cell kinetics. Another group of contribution relates to cardiac modelling. Calcic metabolism kinetics is studied in two articles. There are also more general contributions regarding Mathematical Modelling in Biology. We would like to thank the French Society for Theoretical Biology to have allowed us to organize this meeting and also each of the participants for his contribution to this collective work.
