Coke-industry byproducts—the isoquinoline fraction and quinoline bases—may be used in the synthesis of a series of functionally substituted N-[alkylbenzyl]benzopyridine, N-[alkylphenoxypoly(ethylenoxy) carbonylmethyl]benzopyridine chlorides, N-[alkylphenoxycarbonylmethyl]benzopyridine chlorides and series of functionally substituted alkyl[poly(ethylenoxy)]phosphorylpyridine salts, alkyl[poly(ethylenoxy)] phosphorylquinoline salts, aryl[poly(ethylenoxy)]phosphorylpyridine salts, and aryl[poly(ethylenoxy)] phosphorylquinoline salts. On the basis of these compounds, new corrosion inhibitors for oil-industry equipment (SNPKh-6348 and SNPKh-6474) have been developed and put into production.
