Overtone Raman Scattering in Lithium Niobate Single Crystals Doped with Terbium

Overtone Raman Scattering in Lithium Niobate Single Crystals Doped with Terbium Overtone bands in the spectral range of 1300−1950 cm–1 have been found in Raman scattering spectra of lithium niobate single crystals doped with terbium. The 180° scattering geometry was used to record Raman spectra. The overtone transition intensity differs in different samples and is comparable in some cases with the Raman scattering intensity for the fundamental polar modes of lithium niobate single crystal. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Crystallography Reports Springer Journals

Abstract

Overtone bands in the spectral range of 1300−1950 cm–1 have been found in Raman scattering spectra of lithium niobate single crystals doped with terbium. The 180° scattering geometry was used to record Raman spectra. The overtone transition intensity differs in different samples and is comparable in some cases with the Raman scattering intensity for the fundamental polar modes of lithium niobate single crystal.
